• I have a Pixel 5 (redfin) that is currently running on LineageOS 22.1. I read these posts (Migrate from previous rom , Switch from LineageOS to Iode without data loss? and Switching from LineageOS to iodéOS on an S5e - do I need to re-flash stock first? ), is it still the case that a migration requires data loss, or is it viable?

Personally, I think if the base android version matches it should be fine, and I don’t think (??) it will require a userdata wipe, but do have a backup first, and be ready to do a full reset and install if you experience issues.

I got it wrong and am actually using a Pixel 5a (barbet) with android 15 / Lineage 22.1-20250321-NIGHTLY-barbet.

I will most likely try to migrate at some point soon and will report here. Wish me luck
