Migrate from previous rom

Hi,
I’m looking for a way to backing up my phone, especially datas and apps.
My actual OS is LineageOS + Root and I can backup apk+datas with NeoBackup (F-Droid).
Unfortunatly, If I migrate to Iodé, I will not be able to restore datas without root.
Have you a solution ?

Quick and dirty: no

Ok, and what about long and clean ?

Seedvault, manual app backups, new from beginning…

Android Backup and Restore Tools project needs only rooted debugging to restore. Worth checking whether the IodéOS build for your device siupports rooted debugging. If it does, you should be OK

If he migrates to an official iodeOS, he has no rooted debugging available

Thanks. I wasn’t sure whether that is still the case :frowning: That has always been a major limitation IMHO, and is one of the reasons why I make my own builds user-debug rather than user. It doesn’t seem to stop them passing SafetyNet.

No idea which device @woaloo is using

I’m using a FairPhone 3 with Iodé and a Fairphone 5 with LineageOS.
I was wondering if I could backup my FP5 with seedvault, and then restore my backup to my FP3.
After that, migrate my FP5 from LineageOS to IodéOS and finally restore my seedvault backup.

O believe that shouldwork, although the last time I tried using SeedVault, a lot of apps were not backed up, some were backed up without their settings and / or data, and some that were backed up could not be restored. Things may have improved since then - it was a year or two ago.

Good luck!

It hasn’t really gotten any better in the meantime
