OTA update after sideloading hotfix to Moto g32

In november I had a problem with my Moto G32 the tactile screen not working after upgrading to IodéOS 6.9.

I followed the suggestion in this thread and sideloaded a hotfix. This fixed the screen issue. However, I can no longer update OTA via the built in updater.

My question is now:

Should I

  1. Back up my data and sideload to the latest update.
  2. Or will it be better to do a clean install using the IodéOS install tool and hope the issue has been fixed in the latest main firmware. I guess this would allow me to use OTA in the future.

Kind regards

Rian

Hi Rian,

there are various threads in the forum about the update from iodéOS 6.x to 7.x

Any one of them will help you! Spoiler: no need to do any sideload or clean install. (backup is always a good idea, though.)
