That is ok, no problem. I thought you and rik are building similarly the images so it seemed a bit strange to have different behavior.. but I understand very well the low priority reason.
When/if OTA updates will be implemented the importance of Local updates will be reduced a lot (my opinion!).
I can live just fine without Local updates or OTAs.
Have a good/productive day!
@rik I would like to be able to edit the table in the first post in this thread. Are you able to make that happen with your moderator’s magic powers? Thanks
New builds for most of these devices are now available from the links in the first post. For the tama platform-based devices (xz2c,akari,akatsuki,aurora) there are 5.11 builds.
I will be making 6.2 builds very soon later today, primarily to see if the problems with WiFi (device connects to network but doesn’t get an ip address) have gone away. I would welcome any reports or feedback on this, but if your device is your `daily driver’ then I recommend sticking with the 5.x builds for now.
I have dirty flashed the new 5.11 build for xz2c (using Recovery | Apply from SD card) over the previous builds and it seems to be working fine
Well the problem is still there on the xz2c 6.2 build
The aurora build should be available in a couple of hours. @Cooler If you can find some time to test it in the next few days, I would be very interested to know if WiFi works.
Thanks for pointing that out @ronnz98 . I’ll happily add it to the list of devices we build for (unless you particularly want to continue making IodéOS builds for it)
Well.. it doesn’t work. Wi-fi turns on but cannot obtain IP adress. Other than that it works well.
I’ll test the muting in calls when using speaker tomorrow when I can call someone (it’s too late now).
Anytime. It’s not a major issue. I should cut back on internet usage on my phones anyway
There is a bit higher energy consumption compared to the 5.10 I (think) I had before, but it’s too early to tell how much more..
Unfortunately this bug is still present in 6.2 Not a major issue, but a bit annoying.
I have went “back” to 5.11 and unfortunately in the process I had to format the data partition because of some errors; I think it was the first time when I lost my data. It was nothing major as I don’t have many apps and I backup from time to time the contacts, SMS and pictures, etc.
New builds - 5.12 & 6.3 - have been made and uploaded.
I am still making v5 builds as well as v6 builds for the devices using the tama platform (akari,akatsuki,aurora,xz2c ) since WiFi is still not working in v6 builds for xz2c. I would be very grateful if anyone running the v6 builds on any of the other devices in that list can tell me whether WiFi is working OK for them. Thanks
Note
the 6.3 build for pdx203 is still in progress, and should be available in a couple of hours
discovery was omitted from the last few build runs (the last build is 5.8). A 6.3 build will start once the pdx203 build completes
New builds - 5.13 & 6.4 - have been made and uploaded (or will be shortly in the next few hours. You can follow the progress of the builds in the microG LineageOS Builds Matrix room).
The WiFi problems with tama platform devices (akari,akatsuki,aurora,xz2c ) appear to be solved - WiFi is working fine on my XZ2 Compact running the 6.4 build - so I will not be making any more v5 builds for these devices.
As usual the only testing I have done is
dirty flash 5.13 build over 5.12 on XZ1 Compact lilac
dirty flash 6.4 build over 5.12 on XZ2 Compact xz2c
dirty flash 6.4 build over 6.2 on XZ2 Compact xz2c
I didn’t find any problems and both devices seem to be working fine. Have fun!
Hi Peter
I downloaded the new 6.4 build for XZ2 premium and will update them ASAP (hopefully tonight). Phone is used for work so no big deal if wireless doesn’t work.
Thank you for the effort of building these ROMs!
