So far I’ve successfully installed on Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (2020) SM-T505 / SM-T500: AOSP GSIs, LineageOS, LineageOS-for-mircoG and now - iodéOS 5.1 by @ronnz98
@ronnz98 has built an iodéOS 5.1 ROM from scratch within a very few hours, the installation and operation of which works straight away without any complications.
Vendor Name: Samsung
Device name: Galaxy Tab A7 (2020) SM-T505
Device CodeName: gta4l
Version of Stock firmware which existed previously: 505XXS7CXB1 BIT-7 (BINARY/U/SW REV)
My device is Not rooted
Here are my first impressions:
4G LTE (incoming and outgoing telephone calls, SMS; Nano-SIM) 4G LTE Surfing (Internet access with 4G LTE WLAN (Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) Wired LAN via USB-C OTG-adapter-RJ45 Bluetooth 5.0 (tested with BT keyboard + BT loutspeaker box) GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO (good reception even in closed living spaces) Sensor compass
USB-C 2.0 OTG USB-C Stick Samsung 256GB Card slot: microSDXC 256GB Wired charging “is charging” with Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging EP-TA20EWE Wired “fast charging” with Power Delievery (PD2.0)
Loudspeaker: stereo speakers (4 speakers) 3.5mm jack (headset; internal loudspeaker is switched off) USB-C-to-USB-C with DAC headset USB-C-to-USB-C standard headset (I’ve also experienced this with many other devices, so it is not a problem for me)
I noticed that the battery drains quickly in sleep mode. I disabled background operation for most applications, but the discharge is about 1% in 1.5 hours. LineageOS 21 discharges about 3% overnight. I will try LineageOS 22.
