I had a problem this morning with my sony xperia xz1 compact.
When I turned it on, it ask me for my PIN code, and then, there was a white screen and nothing else. I turned it off and on again. It booted but it doesn’t recognize that there is a SIM card. I tried with 2 differents SIM card. Same problem. And the SIM cards work in other phones.
Also when I watch for the IMEI code, it says “unknown”
A guy in a store told me it was a problem with the motherboard and that I could try re-installing from scratch but maybe it would not work anyway.
Do you have any idea if what he said is true ? Did it happen to one of you ? And do you have any idea for fixing this ? Or is my phone dead ?
