Seit dem Update auf iodéOS 5.2 bekomme ich alle 1 bis 2 Minuten eine Popup-Meldung mit folgendem Inhalt:
“SIM-Manager wird wiederholt beendet”
Ich habe inzwischen alles an der App blockiert und wieder freigegeben.
Ich habe cache und Daten gelöscht.
Die App lässt sich nicht deinstallieren oder deaktivieren.
Die Appinfo sagt, dass die App von microG companion installiert wurde.
Ich habe microG aktiviert und wieder deaktiviert.
Zwischendurch immer wieder Neustarts.
Alles ohne Ergebnis.
Ich weiss keinen Rat mehr.
Hat irgend jemand eine Idee?
Since updating to iodéOS 5.2, I get a pop-up message every 1 to 2 minutes with the following content:
“SIM Manager is terminating repeatedly”
I have now blocked and unblocked everything in the app.
I have deleted the cache and data.
The app cannot be uninstalled or deactivated.
The app info says that the app was installed by microG companion.
I have activated microG and deactivated it again.
If it seems to have been installed by microg companion, in reality it is probably an update made by aurora store. In Sim manager app info, uninstall the update (top right three dots menu) if there’s one.
Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately uninstall the updates doesn’t help.
The app obviously belongs to microG.
If I understand everything correctly, microG is installed by default. At least for me, I bought the phone with iodéOS pre-installed and it was active.
You can disable microG completely, but it remains on the phone.
Until iodéOS 5.1 this was not a problem.
Since version 5.2, however, SIM Manager causes trouble when microG is deactivated.
Activating microG helps, the pop-up with the message no longer appears.
But that’s not what I want.

Die app gehört ganz offensichtlich zu microG.
Wenn ich alles richtig verstehe, ist microG standardmäßig installiert. Jedenfalls bei mir, ich habe das Telefon mit vorinstalliertem iodéOS gekauft, und es war aktiv.
Man kann microG komplett deaktivieren, aber es bleibt auf dem Telefon.
Bis iodéOS 5.1 war das auch kein Problem.
Seit Version 5.2 macht SIM-Manager aber bei deaktiviertem microG Ärger.
MicroG aktivieren hilft, das Popup mit der Meldung taucht nicht mehr auf.
Aber das ist nicht was ich will.
After reading the link @Nik provided I activated microG.
The annoying popup doesn’t appear no more.
But since I don’t want using microG it is only a workaround for the moment, not a lasting solution.
Ich will auch kein microG benutzen. Mir ging es bei dem Verweis auf den Thread nur darum, dass es das Problem schonmal gab und ein Neuinstallieren der SIM-Manager App das Problem beseitigt. Nicht das Aktivieren von microG.
SIM Manager does not belong to microG. It is a google blob used for e-sim. It can be updated by Aurora Store. Updates made by Aurora Store appear to the system as if they were done by microG companion, which fakes the presence of the play store. SIM Manager is in no way related to microG.
SIM Manager effectively requires microG to be installed, but you can keep all switches to off (Google registration, GCM…) which makes it an inert, harmless app.
After some days with microG I made a test and disabled it in settings > apps this morning.
The popup I mentioned has not reappeared since then.
Sometimes it’s just magic…
Now I have update the SIM-Manager app with Aurora Store. Its the version D.2.1.635558248-gms com.android.euicc, before it was D.2.1.577693163-gms. But the error messages from SIM-Manager still there.
I dont use microG, have not installed it and dont want it. Thats the reason why I installed iodesOS. And I also dont use the Aurora Store. To use it now its an exception to get the SIM-Manager Update.
@vince31fr can I deactivate the SIM-Manager over adb without to get probs? Have 2 FP5, one for business with one sim card and one e-sim, one only with a sim card.
