more coming as needed: - OnePlus Nord N200 (?) - OnePlus 12R?
To install, use the Download link and download all the files for the newest iodéOS version and follow the instructions in the Installation Guide link, but use the downloaded .img and .zip files instead of the LineageOS files.
The main motivation for these builds are the device availability in the USA (which make them great candidates for me to sell at https://openmobile.us), the official build availability from LineageOS, but the lack of official iodéOS builds.
NOTE: Bootloader re-locking on OnePlus devices risks bricking the devices, so it isn’t supported as far as I know with any custom ROM. As with all modern Android systems, your data is encrypted and safe unless your unlock pattern / pin is compromised, which is the same regardless of having a locked or unlocked bootloader.
The theoretical risk of an unlocked bootloader is that if some malicious and technically advanced entity gains physical access to the device then you can’t be certain if they possibly tampered with the system in your absence. In that case, if you feel your device may have been compromised, after you regain control of it you should reset the device from System Recovery before booting to ensure any malicious process doesn’t steal your data after boot.
To be clear, without physical access, it is not proven, as far as I am aware, that an unlocked bootloader poses greater threat to your data being compromised than an unlocked bootloader.
I forgot to mention I am also creating builds for the OnePlus 8T kebab and OnePlus 9R lemonades as well. v7.5 uploaded (links above for download and install instructions).
Any chance of a 9 or a 9 Pro build @rik . The 9R and RT models weren’t officially marketed by Oneplus over here in Europe, but there are plenty of 9’s and 9 Pro’s on the 2nd user market and they are just at that point where you can pick them up at the right kind of prices in good condition for entry level iode users.
Well, I’ve been very happy with the official iodéOS ROMs for quite some time now—the latest versions are iodéOS 7.5 for the OnePlus 9 lemonade and the OnePlus 9 Pro lemonadep
Thanks for the heads up @iodysseus . Now I’m aware of that it’s most likely down to the volte requirement that rik is feeling the need to build unofficial iode versions for the US market I’m thinking. I’m going to buy a couple in and give them a shot.
An excellent unofficial LineageOS 23.2 (27.05.2026) build by @krazey90 is now available for the Samsung Galaxy S9 (starlte) / S9+ (star2lte) / Note9 (crownlte), featuring working VoLTE + VoWiFi including OTA update support. I also use the MicroGPlus add-on by @TheHitMan since there’s no alternative for me. For more information, check out XDAforums.
Hi @rik first, I installed your iodéOS 7.4, and then I updated to v7.5 via OTA for testing. As the screenshots show, the OTA update worked perfectly. Great job. Thank you very much! for you.
No I am only making builds for devices that do not have official iodéOS builds (so thus the 9R lemondades but not the 9 lemonade or the 9 Pro lemonadep). But I don’t do anything custom regarding VoLTE.
I did just get my first 9 here in the US (T-Mobile variant as those are the most common that need a request sent to OnePlus to get an unlock token from them), it is in very good shape but unfortunately the battery health is only in the 60’s so I am now needing to replace a battery before posting it The newer Nord N20 (and soon Nord N30 which I now have but need to test more) seem to give less trouble this way… I am concerned that battery replacements will then compromise the water resistance rating, etc. when I do that to the older devices (I don’t want to sell devices < 80% battery health).
A fair percentage of mine have been coming in with poor batteries lately too, suggesting that the cost of battery replacement at the local service centres has got to the point where it has become a make or break for older model phones with some users. Replacement seals aren’t so bad if you buy in several at a time on Aliexpress, or you can buy the rubber adhesive strip on the roll if you are prepared to put in the extra time cutting it to length.
I just bought a 9 Pro too this last weekend as a tester. Decided to only offer the 256Gb model at the moment as ebay here is awash with 128Gb models at the moment. I’ve not done many 256Gb phones at all yet, but the odd one’s I have had sold very quickly. Is same with the Nothing phone’s I’m finding, but good condition 256Gb models at the kind of prices I would like to pay don’t come up every day of the week.
