We have published a post announcing the beta release of iodéOS 7, with the headline feature being the re-basing on Android 16. Read the full post here:

iodéOS 7.0, based on Lineageos 23.0 / Android 16 will be published today as beta, for the following devices :

Please be careful : backup your important data, etc. Not all builds have been tested.
It will require a new version of the beta updater, which will be soon available.

Currently known issues are:

  • Fairphone 4 8GB/256GB: does not boot with locked bootloader (multiple reports).
  • Automatically turning off WiFi does not work (1 report).

Cool! But for my pixel 6 impossible to install via the ota. Is it possible to have a facility that makes it easier?

I have installed the beta version but the automatic installation of version 7 is not possible. So when can we expect an automatic installation. Thank you

What happens when you click on “Informations” and on the three dots?

Did you install the newest beta Updater? The older one won’t work (it will display version 7 but the updated version of the Updater is needed to install). You need version 6v3: beta · master · ota / ota · GitLab

For a stable OTA update (without the beta version of the Updater app), it will be a bit more until officially released. I think the plan is that an iodéOS v6.10 will be released as a per-requisite that will then enable the upgrades to v7.x to proceed OTA.
