Since I temporarily tried out the widget from the Iodé Blocker app, whenever I start the Iode app, a notification appears under my notification that says: “iodé Widget service”. In the app, both buttons under Notifications are turned off, but this only turns off the permanent information about the protection status, which also works.
Under App Info or in the Notification you cannot turn off any notifications.
So I always have to remove the notification manually. What`s wrong?
I believe I have been communicating with you via email. Glad to find you here too, as it will be more helpful for others with the issue.
I just did some testing on an iodé 6.x device and an iodé 7.x device: it seems like a regression that the persistent notification comes up when launching the iodé app on 7.x even if you have it set to not show notifications in its settings.

Note, I don’t think it is related to having used the actual iodé widget or not, it is just that the persistent notification is labeled as the “iodé widget.” Regardless, it is a bug.
