Google Pixel 3 iodéOS 5.3 Updater keeps stopping

Google Pixel 3 (blueline)

relocked bootloader

The iodé Updater app reports the new update 5.3. Despite tapping on Search update hundreds of times, the new OTA update is not found.

A download of iode-5.3-20240724-blueline-ota.zip from the convoluted paths of blueline/iode-5.3-20240724-blueline-ota.zip · master · ota / release · GitLab and a subsequent attempt via ‘Local update’ fails because the updater app crashes.

I’ve known this bug for months, starting with release iodéOS 5.0.

The only way to update successfully was to update manually via adb sideload. However, this is less user-friendly.

There’ no reason for this, and we cannot reproduce. Did you try to clear the Updater’s storage ? And disable/enable “Allow network access” in App infos/Mobile data usage ?

I have the same problem.

There was indeed a glitch with OTA updates on blueline: this is fixed.

Now the update has worked.
Thank you very much.

I’m also using a pixel 3 with ver 5.2-20240701 but no info that an update is available in the updater - I used to run ver 4.x but after an OTA update to 5.x failed I reflashed my pixel 3 manually with ver 4.9 and then sucessfully updated OTA to 5.2. Any advice what I can do?
