[FP4] Regression on installing 6.6: sound stopped working (except bluetooth)

Hey all,

I upgraded to iodé 6.6 a few days ago, and noticed a couple of quite important regressions:

  • The earpiece and loudspeaker stopped working

Bluetooth sound is okay, but I don’t have sound otherwise. This sometimes happened pre-6.6 too, but a reboot usually made sound work again. Now, sound is just permanently broken.

  • The iodé app/traffic blocker stopped intercepting traffic, and required a data reset

The iodé app didn’t detect any installed app on the phone, and thus intercepted no traffic. The “report” tab showed no traffic, the “stream” tab showed a loading wheel. I had to use the “data reset” button in the settings tab for the application to resume working. While I think this is intended, the data reset also caused the iodé app to forget which apps I had set up to be reinforced blocking, and which to standard blocking.

Anyone else seen this? And is this the right channel to raise the issue to the dev team?

I am going to re-title this thread with this info, it seems like the key issue. This way other users will more easily find it if they have the same problem.

I’ve heard this occasionally happens, if you could post this to a separate topic then we can better gather info if this is happening across the board for FP4 or other users.
