Crash of f-droid after Upgrade to iodeos 5.2 on FP4

Hi, after upgrading my FP4 to iodeos 5.2 OTA, I recognize multiple strange side effects.

So far, it is

  • The fdroid app immediately crashes after opening.
  • The QKSMS app has disappeared entirely.

Please advise how to recover from this. Thanks.

OK, manually deleting the data oft the fdroid app makes it startable again.
Re-adding external repos is not a problem, and so is re-installing QKSMS from f-droid.

There is an notification in the news app, but an explicit hint to how to practically solve the problems would have been nice.
