What to do, who to contact? We’ll just leave it like this.
As CalyxOS and IodéOS are based on LineageOS, I guess they are using the LineageOS sources for Fairphone. If that is where the problem lies, then that is where the fix will have to happen. You could try raising an issue there, or asking in the LineageOS support channels. Good luck!
Thank you for your efforts, I hope it will help.
@rlees85 @woaloo @EthGahus @anja can any of you comment on if Aurora (just the version from iodé, not a custom install of the F-Droid nightly, etc) is still working for you? I see that all of you reported it started working, sometimes by spoofing another device in Aurora, etc.
Since this all started, seems to be a pattern of it being fixed after each OTA (following the process I mentioned above manually updating each app and then normal updates work).
Every single time about a week after OTA it all starts to fail again until next OTA.
And once again this is not solved by simply force stopping Aurora and restarting it? (I have always had to do this every ~3 ish days or so)
My current workaround is spoofing another device. However I do need another workaround for when I want to install new apps (completely normal ones such as for my local library), as I can never find them in the Aurora app - In those cases I search for the Play Store link and open that in Aurora.
Going to say probably not. I’ve never tried it, if it wont work I am lazy and just update apps when next OTA is available.
My phone went weird the other day and hard rebooted itself, which I guess would “force close” Aurora store and it was still completely broken afterwards.
Yes, I can confirm that stock Aurora is working with Pixel 9 or Pixel XL spoofing.
I’ve tried it with Google account in MicroG, end without account (anonymous) and it’s working too … for the moment ![]()
Hi. The issue does exist on a FP5 with OEM stock android. I added a comment on the Gitlab bug report.
Thank you for testing that. Surprising, but that explains the issue.
Spoofing a google pixel allows me to update my apps and download new apps, but I have to force close aurora and clean the cache in that case for some reason …
I have the same problem on my FP5. I’ve been using Huawei Mate 20 spoofing for a while now. Works well.
Hi. It looks like a fix might be found: Majority of apps not available for Fairphone (#1374) · Issues · Aurora OSS / AuroraStore · GitLab
It relies on LineageOS update. Does anyone know whether iodéOS 6.9 has got it?
