Hello !
For the past few days, Aurora Store has been unable to update apps on my Fairphone 5. The loading bar for checking updates spins indefinitely without ever finding any apps to update. However, when I look at the apps individually in the store, it offers to update them one by one, showing “Update” instead of “Open.”
Additionally, upon opening most of the apps already installed from the store, the following message appears: “App inaccessible: the app is not available for your device.”
Here are the solutions I have already tried without success:
Clearing the cache and storage of Aurora Store.
Logging in with my Google account instead of using anonymous login.
Using the spoofing manager to change the phone default model.
I also noticed that in the microG settings, under the “Self-check” section, the box for “Permission to search for accounts on the device” was not checked and could not be checked.
Spoofing a Google Pixel 5a device in Aurora helps for many apps, so that I am able to install them.
I noticed also that app descriptions are now often shown in other languages, like Spanish, French, Croatian, Turkish, …
Maybe part of the problem?
Maybe related to the anonymous login?
I’m not sure if the microG setting is related to the Aurora Store issue.
Anyway, I noticed the same in microG. I believe the checkbox was still activated in iodéOS 6.3.
Maybe @vince31fr can tell something about it?
I have the same problems. I have removed the pre-installed Aurorastore and installed it again. This did not work because the Aurorastore no longer installs itself, but is only displayed as installed. It does not appear in any app list.
Apart from that, some apps have been installed that have no function, for example: com.spisoft.quicknote.MyApplicatuon
Also, a restart of the FP5 is suddenly always executed twice.
I suspect this is all related to the last update.
I was able to solve the problem that installed unknown apps are displayed in the app list. These are pre-installed apps that I was able to remove by installing and then uninstalling them. The problem that the Aurora Store is gone remains. Unfortunately, I can’t install it from F-droid either, because the pre-installed version is recognized and it is therefore not possible.
I have the same problem with the Aurora Store and my Fairphone 5.
I tried to remove it using the “pre-installed apps” function and reinstall it, but it no longer appears in the app list. The same thing happens with other pre-installed apps.
It is also no longer possible to install Aurora Store via the F-Droid Store or direct download.
There is a new Iode beta, maybe that will help. I’m probably going to just wait for OTA and hope it fixes it - none of my apps have stopped working yet due to lack of updates
There is a new version of Aurora Store (4.7.2) available in the F-Droid Store.
I am able to install this version. This allows me to install and update all apps when I simulate a different device (e.g., Google Pixel 9a).
No, the latest update didn’t change anything .
I wrote to the support about two weeks ago - no answer.
I have to ask again: how do you spoof an other phone?
I have no Aurorastore in my Applist and I cannot install it from any other store. So it is not possible to visit the store.
