I am checking if the devs will try again, but their last attempts resulted in non-working wifi and cellular modem. I suspect those are important to you? 
Certainly the LineageOS builds don’t report this problem, so it may be a bug that can be resolved. Didn’t we have wifi issues with this device when upgrading from iodéOS 5 to 6 too?
