I have my Pixel 6a happily running IodeOS 6.9 with the X/Twitter application.
I have a new phone, Pixel 7, and installed IodeOS 7.1. I simply used the standard Linux installer app to do this, and if there is any special step required (e.g. per the recent announcement), I did not do that. Everything seems to be working… except
I’ve installed the X/Twitter app via Aurora Store. I know the user name and password precisely. I can access the account both via desktop browser and the Pixel 6a.
Attempting to login w/ the user name and password, I get an error LoginError.AttestationDenied
I turned to an AI thingy (GLM 4.7, rather than ChatGPT or Claude). It hallucinated a couple of things about the version numbers. It decided that the fix involved configuring microG to generate a valid “attestation.”
It told me to install “Play Integrity API Checker” app from F-Droid or GitHub. This app is not listed on F-Droid.
It also suggested looking in the microG settings - but I am unable to find where those settings would be.
I was able to use the IdeoOS browser to Add “X” to the home screen as a PWA app, and then to login correctly. I dunno yet whether all the features work.
I’m still curious as for the other ideas, with any kind of microG settings or whatnot.
