New Issue

Additional Information:

I’m not sure whether this is an issue with IodéOS or WG Tunnel, but since it appeared after upgrading to IodéOS 7.7, I suspect it is related to IodéOS.

I use WG Tunnel to establish a VPN connection. My tunnel configuration references the peer by its hostname, which must be resolved at connection time. This setup worked until I performed the system upgrade. Now, WG Tunnel fails to resolve the hostname when configured to use the system DNS. If I instead set a custom DNS server inside the app, resolution works fine.

Since I can successfully ping the hostname from Termux, this doesn’t appear to be a general DNS resolution problem.

Note: This is NOT about DNS resolution once the VPN connection is established. The issue is specifically about resolving the WireGuard peer’s hostname before the tunnel comes up.
