Wifi is not automatically turning off after period set

Hello,

Despite my settings, the wifi is not automatically turning off after 5 minutes without any connection.

I’m running Iodé OS version 6.9 (but the same issue was there also on version 6.8 for me) on a Fairphone 5.

Is there anything I can do to have this back again?

Regards

I have never tested that feature before. I’ll take my test phone out with me later and report back.

Did this work on iodéOS before v6.8 or was that when you first started using iodéOS (meaning it has never worked with iodéOS before?)

FWIW I have had this issue too a few times lately… Just went 2 days with no wi-fi unintentionally…

Wait, this is not the same issue? @DrowsyMockingbird can’t get wifi to turn off automatically, but is your problem that it is not turning on automatically (assuming you have the setting to turn on when back at home or something?)

Yes - I believe so, it says it will turn on automatically or such like, but hasn’t seemed to on two occasions.

BUT it won’t if not enabled in network settings obviously. And pretty sure I had it on by default…

I havent set the turn off automatically myself as I dont fully understand yet fully how it works - and how it interacts with turn on automatically function (e.g. if at home with a saved netwofk will it cause wi-fi to constantly turn off and on endlessly)…
