Hi there,
I have crappy 2G and 3G networks here, but 4G is fine.
Unfortunately LineageOS doesn’t provide VoLTE on Samsung Exynos phones and I have to start to look for an alternative for the near future.
I looked at iodé shop, but I’m afraid I won’t be able to find a VoLTE-enabled smartphone that:
is compact (15 cm long max)
has good camera
has at least 64GB storage (preferably 128MB)
ideally has a jack plug
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Sony devices are always a good choice: great hardware, and they are supportive of custom ROM developers.
Xperia XZ1 polar
would seem to meet your criteria. It only has 64GB storage, but it has an SD card slot so you can add more if you want.
And it is officially supported by IodéOS.
Good second-user devices can be found on eBay , Backmarket etc
Thanks. The XZ1 is a bit outdated, though (2017). I wish I wouldn’t change for an older model.
It looks like I don’t have many choices:
Pixels 3a or 4a, Asus Zenfones (no SD card)
Sony Xperia 10
Alas no iodé build is available for any of them.
XZ2 is a bit newer, but doesn’t have an audio jack Info about akari | LineageOS Wiki
My Fairphone 3 also supports Volte in Iodé. Maybe Fp4 and Fp5, but that I don’t know…
