I need ota.zip files from 4.1 upwards to a version 6 to update with local updates stept by step a Fairphone 5 from 4.1.
Hello, can someone please answer? Or does really nobody know?
Problem solved via installation instead of step by step update
You should have been able to apply the local update direct to version 7.x (Updater > top right 3 dots > Install local update). Did that fail or maybe wasn’t tried?
It failed.
Vincent did mention this should be theoretically possible, but it is a “big jump”. Meaning a clean install may have been needed as you found out.
Well, yes, I was not lokking for explanation how to update.
I was looking for elderly ota.zip files.
And I still do not know where they are available.
So I have solved my task, but did not get an answer ![]()
Official OTA zip files are in the iodé GitLab at ota / release · GitLab which has the two most recent builds in the FP5 subdirectory
I am pretty sure that - like most custom ROMs, including LineageOS, LineageOS for microG etc. - they do not maintain an archive of older versions. Each release is around 1.5GB and storage space is expensive.
