VPN in work profile

Hi iodé community !
Quick question about a connection issue : I always have a VPN connection on my phone. I also have a work profile managed by Island app.
Since a few updates ago, I have no internet connection on my work profile when the VPN is on. With the VPN off the connection works normally, and I have to do the following to get it to work with VPN :

  • copy my VPN app to work profile
  • disable the VPN in the main profile
  • activate the VPN in the work profile
  • activate again the VPN in the main profile
    I now have one distinct VPN connection in each profile.

Is it the expected behavior ? Until recently, it worked directly when I had the VPN activated in the main profile, without having to use a separate connection in the work profile. Although I didn’t check the work profile connection was effectively routed through the VPN, I assumed it was the case.
Is there a way to make the work profile connection go through the main profile VPN ?

From what I understood, the main profile and the work profile use separate VPNs.

However, it is important to note that the VPN must be configured to work with the work profile. Some VPNs may not support work profiles, so it is essential to choose a VPN that does. (2024-02-10 by Try Catch Debug)

Are there recommendations for VPN apps that support VPN in the work profile and/or private space?
