Volume Too Loud on the Lowest Setting (wired headset)

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Pixel 8 where the volume is still too loud on the lowest setting when using wired headphones, especially during phone calls. I’ve tried several troubleshooting steps but haven’t been able to fix it. Here’s what I’ve done so far (tested on iode 6.5, 6.6, and 6.7):

  • Installed the Precise Volume app, which helps with media volume but doesn’t fix the issue for calls over wired headphones.
  • Disabled absolute volume in the settings.
  • Tried various equalizer apps.
  • Adjusted the audio balance via accessibility (Settings → Accessibility → Audio Adjustment → Audio Balance), but it doesn’t seem to work at all.

So far, none of these steps have resolved the problem. Has anyone encountered a similar issue or have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Until others report back that may match the issue on iodéOS, are you willing to dig around on the /e/OS forum or LineageOS issues to see if others can collaborate the issue?

Side note: I will do a bit of testing on a Pixel 7 Pro, but so far my complaint is a bit of the opposite, when using speaker like with a car mount (but not on bluetooth or AA, just the speaker on the phone itself), the volume when at max is too low :frowning:
