see attached screenshot, i am able to run HDR at 24 and 30 FPS but 60 FPS causes it to stop working with this error. turn off HDR and 60 FPS works fine. didnt have this issue before version 7, resolution changes have no effect with the issue Google Pixel 9 (Tokay)
This is with Aperature (default camera app)?
yes
With a Pixel 7 Pro I can confirm the same thing. But using “Google Camera” (no network permissions allowed), there is a “?” when setting 10-bit HDR noting that “10-bit HDR can’t be used unless video frames/sec is set to 30.” So are you certain this was allowed before (HDR + 60 FPS)?
i was able to do 60FPS with HDR enabled before Iode 7. 6.9 and below with the stock camera
Far from an authority on the subject, but I see this quote:
The Google Pixel 9’s video mode was tested at 4K resolution and a frame rate of 30fps in HDR mode. With HDR active, 30fps is the maximum frame rate available.

Maybe it wasn’t actually recording in HDR before, now it accurately crashes? ![]()
hm ok, strange. gues it’s right then. thanks. maybe the error needs modified. i guess if you want 60FPS with HDR you need to use a 3rd party camera (Such as Open Camera) and set the ‘Video Picture Profile’ to something like ‘REC709’
I saw other comments that note that effectively “HDR recording” uses 2 streams then merges them together. So that is why it can only record at half FPS (half for each stream)??
