Usb file transfer

It seems that i cannot activate any of the usb options.

I want to transfer files per usb to pc.

How?

On: Iode5.8 beta

Greetz

Roland

And it also looks like that even with the option of Charge Device off, you device is charging.

I’m on 5.7 so I can’t provide much other than it works fine on my Fairphone 4.

Yes Papercut, correctly observed. Device is charging although unchecked here.

I am speechless.

Hoping to receive advice from Iodé developers…

Have you tried connecting with a different USB cable. Some cables are ‘charging only’. Those options can only be changed when the phone is successfully connected to the PC, which wnt happen with a ‘charging only’ cable

Well, Petefoth,

You hit the bull’s eye.
Actually I used what is supposed to be an allround data & loading cable. But it seems halfbroken. Half.

It is the original cable of FP4.
If I turn the connector at the phone side 180 degrees, the cable loads only. If I return it 180 degrees, the cable loads & transfers data.

If I connect this cable to a loader:
In one position the cable does nothing
In a 180 degrees mirrored position it does the loading.

That 's a weird cable.

Anyway, problem understood, Not a Iodé problem.

Thx for your help!

The USB C port on the smartphone likes to collect dust and lint. Try using a pin to remove any dirt.

Thx M6s,

Port is clean, really.
It’s the cable.
