Hi team, is there a planned version upgrade on the teracube 2e emerald, the stock rom is on android 13. Thanks for your work, have a good weekend.
Hi team,
I’m coming back to this unanswered question. Android 12 is no longer supported, the stock version is on 14.
Is an upgrade planned, please? Thank you for your answer.
Best regards
Hi team,
Do you choose which questions to answer? Is that respectful?
I think I was polite and didn’t ask for a very technical answer, so it should be quick.
I’ll try to get some feedback from the team for you.
I get the impression that they don’t seem very interested, still no response… not even a minimum of respect. Well done! Thanks anyway, Rik, at least you tried.
I have re-ping’d the team on this, I think they got busy. I see Teracube now has A15 builds available.
My speculation is that there aren’t updated LineageOS builds for this device, making it difficult to upgrade iodé, but this is just a guess. Hopefully I’ll get a reply to pass back to you to clarify the situation.

/e/OS Murena Development is in progress for emerald and zirconia to move to A15. Will share release dates once I have some inputs from the team
There is a shortage of manpower in both northern and southern France. But where there’s a will, there’s a way.
By the way: /e/OS 3.2 OFFICIAL offers the option to lock the bootloader again. A long time ago, this was also possible with iodéOS.
Thanks for the information. Between the iodeos team, which apparently does not wish to respond on this subject, and the /e/os team, which has a history of failing to anticipate issues and encountering various problems, my teracube, with four years of support, ended up in a drawer before its presumed end. Despite a certain laxity in this type of behavior and the mockery of some rather “proprietary” colleagues, I remain faithful to open source. I treated myself to a Pixel running GrapheneOS. And in comparison, there’s no contest… not to mention the hardware. And if I’m dissatisfied, I have multiple options for change and freedom. My only regret is not having done it sooner. Thank you, iodeos team, it was a very constructive debate.
I did get some feedback from the devs. They have tried several times to upgrade the teracube to newer Android bases but without success. Somehow OTA updates left it unbootable. So that is why the Android 12 base is still our newest major version for it. We do keep making new builds for it, as recently as 2 weeks ago, but again it is still with the Android 12 base.
