Update fails

Hi,

I am on Oneplus 9 pro (lemonadep) on Iode 7.2. I just saw today that 2 new updates were available that my phone didn’t informed me.

That’s when I saw that the updater app was failing and showing me the message ; “Please check your internet connection”

I tried all suggested solutions in the forum :

  • Clear all cache

  • Uninstall and reinstall preinstalled app

  • Download the v6 to v7 apk

  • Dwonload the 7.4 ota zip and give it to the updater through “local update”

  • Activate and deactivate Internet settings of the app

None of those solutions is working

Do you have any ideas how I could fix that ?

Thanks !

Why did the manual method not work? Same error?

I guess this is the same error yes, because I see the internet fail message in the background when importing, Here are some screenshots of the local update workflow

When deleting, an info box appears :

Hmmmm, that’s odd. In the past I a got this error when something on the server-side was wrong. Maybe it’s the listing-file of the stable releases that is borked.

You could give the Beta updater a shot if you don’t mind.

Still the same issue

Even tried by uninstalling the preinstalled app and install the beta apk alone (without update I mean)

Have you tried to download the 7.3 build and install this first before proceeding to 7.4?

Just in case …

Edit: I don’t know anything about the lemonadep, but I read here at Lineage that there are multiple variants. Maybe that could be the reason?

Edit 2: You said your updater didn’t inform you about the updates. Did you get the news in the iodé news app?

I tried also with 7.3 also, didn’t change anything.

And I didn’t receive any info from iodé news app since december 2025

Weird …

We should wait for one of the devs to make an educated guess.

If you turn the device off and then boot again and go to settings, about the phone: Which Build-Number and which iodéOS version does it say?

IodéOs Version : 7.2-20260122-lemonadep
Build Number : BP2A.250805.005 release-keys

thanks for trying to help!

@rik , would you ask the devs, please? Or do you know what to do here? Thanks.

Unproblematic successful OTA update from iodéOS 7.1 to 7.5.

No internet connection problems; quick download process. News App informs about update.

Can you give a bit more information on if you are rooted, if maybe you have a VPN running that is possibly blocking access to https://gitlab.iode.tech or something else?

And the 7.2 build currently running, was it a dev build or maybe an unofficial / custom build or is this the official iodéOS build? The errors seem related to the build keys not matching meaning your current install doesn’t link correctly to the official iodéOS releases (update check), and the inability to apply a local update would be the same reason (if build keys don’t match then it will refuse to install).

But it is really strange.

Hey, thanks for all these answers. I think that today I just found the root cause of the issue. I installed Magisk Alpha and it made everything just failing the update. After removing it it all just came back to normal.

Not sure though what kind of problem it caused for the update to fail.

I’m on 7.5 now and running smoothly.
