When trying to install the update i got an Error ! screen and the phone reboot to previous version.
clearing the storage / cache of the Updater app can solve this issue, give it a try:
from system settings, type updater in the search bar, and from inside the app info > Storage & cache > clear storage and clear cache
Thanks for helping.
unfortunately your fix didn’t worked.
I tried twice. The update keep crashing around 20%
maybe something went wrong during the download?
Possibility… delete the download in the updater and load it again.
or download the zip directly …copy to a USB stick or SD card… then go to recovery and there choose update from SD card.
Hope that helps
I re-downloaded it each time. i don’t find 5.10 in your repository.
BTW, my current version is 4-20250127-UNOFFICIAL-beyond1lte
sorry 5.10 is beta my mistake😉
which updater did you install?
UpdaterBetaIode4Vx.apk
I used the one given with iodéOS, never installed one manually. App info say version 12.
so i installed UpdaterBetaIode4v3.apk and retried updating from it, i got the same trouble.
Then tried again from recovery => same error as previously
i’m sorry i don’t know any more.
you could still ask in the iode beta group on telegram or Matrix…
You could try the 5.8 version.
in the first link
Thanks a lot. I can’t use 5.8 it says downgrade is deny.
I"ll search the beta on Matrix.
Once again, thanks a lot
if you don’t downgrade to 5.8 … then you have to be on 5.10
This is total nonsense you are spreading here… The S9 is also an unofficial build.
ah ok, not sure why official devices have builds that say unofficial., that’s indeed confusing. thanks for correcting me
because there is no official LOS for the S9 anymore.
or because Vince provides a version before there is an official one from LOS.
Who knows
Got the same Problem on beyond2lte with beta updater 4x.
I wondered why it presents an upgrade to Iode 5.10 because updating from A13 to A14 is only possible manually, am I right?
As far as I know, that are devices without official LOS builds anymore, like Monet also
So, i ask in beta channel, i had a small answer from rik-shaw that invited me to “upgrade the recovery first, then with the newer recovery try to sideload the newer iodé version.”
So i followed the howto from ota / ota · GitLab
Fought with usb drivers… and finally won
I moved to iodé 5 version 5.8 and could move back to beta with version 5.10
