TTS with kindle books

I would like my iode Sony XZ3 phone to read my kindle books. According to this post it is possible with the kindle app and TTS on android (in menu look at part 2 and second one):

I have RH Voice installed for TTS but the kindle app doesn’t give a TTS option.

Does iode use TTS?:thinking:

I would suggest to install the Google tts engine and deactivate network access after initial setup and language file download

I can’t get my kindle app to read books with the Google TTS engine, either.

Does iodé allow for TTS in apps?:thinking:

sorry, I don’t know. I’ve tested it some time ago with organic maps.works there. but Kindle? I don’t know…

Amazon may have taken that feature out so more people buy audiobooks?:thinking:
