The VoLTE switcher does not respond

Hello.
I have a Pixel 9 with the latest stable update.
I’ve discovered that when I’m talking on the phone, I still have a cellular internet connection despite the fact that I’d disabled VoLTE in my SIM card settings.
Sim status shows that Mobile Voice Network Type is LTE. But it supposed to be GSM because I turned off VoLTE.
So it seems that VoLTE switcher is not responding (do not make any changes).

When you’re on a call, does the network indicator at the top of your screen drop to GSM?

Oh, yeah.
When VoLTE is turned off, the network indicator sometimes drops to H+ or GSM. But when VoLTE is enabled, the network indicator shows LTE only.
Everything seems to be working properly.
It confused me because on my previous phone without VoLTE enabled, it would only propped to GSM, and I couldn’t use the internet during a call. But now, with H+, it’s possible.

If you really want to limit your connection to GSM, you can select “GSM only” in that dropdown — assuming a 2G network still exists where you are — but it will apply to data/internet speed as well.

Otherwise continue with 3G (aka H+)… until the 3G network is shut down.

That isn’t the case, VoLTE is just putting calls (and ‘optionally’ SMS through LTE, which is 4G, instead of relying on 3G.)

Why do you want to limit yourself to 2G or 3G anyway?
