Sony XA2 planning stages

Right now I’m in the initial stages of planning an Iode 5.x install on one of my XA2’s (most likely the silver one), although a planned couple of weeks on Rhodes (Greece vacation), my partner has booked for next month means I am unlikely to find the time until we return. So gives me plenty of time to gather as much info’ as I can before, which is something I prefer to do these days anyway. There’s not a lot to find out about iode which means I will probably be busking it, but isn’t the first time and most likely won’t be the last I’m sure.

The thing I would like to know is as to why in the ‘official list of iode devices’ the XA2 is quoted as ‘Bootloader Locked= No’, whilst in the ‘official and community list of devices’ it is quoted as ‘Bootloader Locked = Yes’. Is there a definitive answer or is it just another one of those ‘sometimes maybe’ things that often happens in the world of custom roms?

It’s a mistake on the iode forum list of devices which has now been corrected. Sorry for the confusion. The Sony devices cannot be relocked.

Damn! I was hoping that it might turn out to be a ‘sometimes maybe’ kind of thing but suspected it was going to be a ‘no’ purely from past experience with these Sony phones. Thanks for the swift response Chris and looking forward to posting a build thread when I get back.
