I recently tried going into Settings app > Connected Devices > USB to try & change the settings Brax3 defaults to. (See screenshot attached).
As yet another attempt to hopefully stop Ethernet from disconnecting once Brax3 remains locked/screen off, I tried switching from “Connected Device” to “This device” under “USB Controlled by”.
The reason I did that was an internet search suggested it. I don’t know why, but iodeOS prevents it from switching… it times out and indicates “Couldn’t switch”
Can anyone explain why that happens? It seems counterintuitive for the OS to allow the USB device to “have control” by default, instead of Brax3 - since Brax3 is what I’d think needs to protect itself.
Something else my search indicated was that Android ROMs evidently cut power to the USB port when the phone enters deep sleep? I see no granular settings to change that in iodeOS.
My phone does not show an available update to iodeOS 7.3 or 7.4 either… even after manually checking for updates.
To reiterate my previous posts, I find it hard to believe that USB 2.0 cannot manage to maintain an uninterrupted Ethernet connection, when a older iPhone with a lightning port can do it just fine (receive real-time alerts, field calls, etc. while the screen is off).
I’d really like a solution since I have been dealing with it for nearly 3 months. I don’t want to get some app like Caffeine that keeps my screen on and by consequence: 1) further drains the battery, 2) technically makes my phone less secure when unattended.
