It is consistently happening when installing or updating an app. Doesn’t even matter if it is downloaded via Wi-Fi or via cellular connection. Each and every time, cellular connection is lost and can only be restored by rebooting the phone.
Also, as mentioned, after enabling and then disabling airplane mode, no cellular connection can be established.
In addition, I just noticed a third “cause” of this type of connection loss. Merely opening the M365 Copilot app leads to loss of cellular connection - also consistently, I tried it several times, doesn’t matter if the phone is connected to Wi-Fi or not. So far, I haven’t noticed another app where merely opening it causes this problem.
Seems unlikely to me that this is caused solely by the mobile carrier. The behavior started immediately after updating from 7.3 to 7.4. So far, I have seen two recent posts where users may have experienced similar problems:
