My Shiftphone sometimes is becomes offline. Even though wifi and mobile data are connected, nothing can be transfered. Every request just hangs indefinitely.
When turning wifi off and on again, this doesn’t change. The same goes for mobile data. I can also turn on airlplane mode and turn it off again. The only thing that helps is a phone restart.
My device was recently replaced by a new one. I’ve had this issue with the old device as well as the current one.
I haven’t tried that, but my current provider contract doesn’t include 5G, so it is never connected anyway.
I have Netguard connected which is another firewall software that works over Android’s VPN interface. I have tried to deactivate that when the problem occured - with no change.
Private DNS is set to automatic if that’s what you mean.
It can be side effect from the double netfilter (iodé app + netguard)
I usede netguard before I switched to iodé as well. I had several issues with connectivity, especially the DNS seams to be blocked in several cases. I would expect an side effect on netguard. Please report the issue there
Ok, this can make in above setup with double filter, trouble as well (both filters have a delay, so the response runs in timeout before answer.
Check another option for a while and verify the impact.
