I am trying to degoogle my calendar experience. I rely on the calendar quite a lot and I’d like retain the functionality of inviting people. I’d like to be able to do on both mobile and desktop. With desktop I am hosting my calendar on my Synology NAS and I synchronise with DAVx5. When I create events on ETAR, but adding people as guests does not generate an automatic invite.
Is there a way to make ETAR send invites? Is there another open-source, privacy-preserving app which can do it? Can the response be shared over DAVx5 to see the responses on NAS?
This post seems to refer to local calendar, but doesn’t go into much detail about how to manage the events.
