that sim card has now expired so i’m not sure if it makes difference with IMS.
Three UK (it never had 2G & killed 3G),
expired plan usually allow receiving SMS, but it also cannot receive SMS.
anyway, following are an error message & the IMS stuff.
Yes, this long-awaited technical innovation—VoLTE and Wi-Fi—should be available, because the best-selling and popular Samsung Galaxy S9(+) / Note9 smartphone family, released in March 2018, is still widely used today. /e/ Murena has also released a /e/OS 4.1.1 big upgrade (A15 official build) for the starlte and star2lte.
By the way: The seven-year-old Galaxy S10e (beyond0lte), released in March 2019, gained VoLTE and Wi-Fi with the iodéOS 7.7 build.
This is actually revolutionairy!
Why so low-key about this? This deserves at least a new thread (imho) since this is the first time it’s working on IodéOS (7.7) for a Samsung.
After years of having to deal with no data connection while calling, it now “just” works.
Just successfully tested on a S10e (SM-G970F) in the Netherlands, provider: Simpel / Odido (MCC:204 MNC:16)
This makes thousands of Samsung phones overnight future-proof and finally IMS/VoLTE compatible!
I hope my A52 will follow soon ![]()
Thanks Iodé and all involved!
Tested on my Galaxy S10e (SM-G970F) with Carrier/Provider: 1&1
1&1 AG is the fourth-largest (out of a total of four) German telecommunications provider.
WoW! Has anyone tested it on the S10 beyond1lte?
@B24 Whether VoLTE works also depends on your carrier and your SIM plan. The only way to be sure is to test your Galaxy under your specific conditions. Everything else is just theory, wishful thinking, and speculation.
