Samsung S10e update 4.23B / "S10 series running IodeOS 4 cannot be updated automatically"

Hi!

Iode Updater is offering me 4.23B for my S10e (running 4.22 currently).

Updater says that

  • “Samsung series 10 running IodeOS 4 cannot be updated automatically.”
  • “Note: This feature requires a compatible Recovery or updates will need to be installed manually.”

I have always updated my phone just by pressing Ok and waited for the phone to restart.

Is this possible anymore? What does it mean that S10 series cannot be updated auromatically?

And what does the ‘B’ version mean with the update 4.23?

Waiting for Your confirmation before applying the update. @Antoine or somebody else who knows the answer.

A few words were missing. Samsung series 10 cannot be automatically upgraded to iodéOS 6, as it requires a factory reset and flashing a new recovery. But, they will still receive v4 upgrades by OTA for some time.

This is a new info for me that S10 series can get now IodeOS6!

Maybe news -app could have atttached this link to explain things little further. :slightly_smiling_face:

It would be better if that news article mentioned which Sony devices are getting the upgrade
