Rooted debugging on a `user` build?

I would like to run an official build of IodeOS which is released as a user build, but I really need access to roooted debugging (adb root).Is there any way of getting rooted debugging working in a user build, by e.g. modifying some system properties in a .props file? Or is the only way to get rooted debugging to make an unofficial userdebug build and use that? Thanks

Looks like this is not going to be possible. :frowning:

But there is now a patch available in LineageOS allowing me to run the UK banking apps I need, so it’s back to l4m for my new daily driver.
