Restoring In-App buyings

Hello to forum,

is there a way to restore In-App buyings of apps, which I installed on a stock rom, did the In-App buy in that environment and than moved to iodéOS?

For example I installed a free version of an app called “Rename & Organize” on my stock rom smartphone. The app can do bulk renaming of photographs in a folder and organize photographs. Then I did an In-App buy to upgrade to the premium version.

Now I moved to an Fairphone 5 with installed latest version of iodéOS and want to use the app there. But neither I can restore the premium version nor can I do another In-App buy…

Is there a way to restore In-App buyings? I’m using Aurora with my Google Play credentials.

You have to activate ‘Google Play Licensing’ and ‘Google Play Billing’ in microG.

Hello Dabbler,
thanks for the information - it solved my problem

I successfully restored in-app purchases some time ago.
But since last update of Iodé (I think), that’s not possible any more. The options mentioned in microg are set and a google account has been set up .
For example I open meteoblue, go to premium, click buy. Then I expect to get the message “Already buyed”. Instead the “buying screen” with purchase options is shown. Then I tap accept and buy and nothing happens, the screen stays darkened and then “…failed” is shown in red.

Can anyone confirm or reject this? Maybe there’s a workaround?
I use IodéOS on a Pixel 7a.

I haven’t personally purchased an app before using Aurora / microG, but I have assisted someone recently logging in and restoring a purchase made on a prior phone. Let me check back with them how they did it.

Thanks,
but I a m talking of in-app purchases. Buying an app in Google Store works

OK, understood. Can you see if anything is blocked for it in the iodé app? You can disable “standard” blocking for it there and see if it helps. Additional debugging is to check if it works through a web browser to cross-reference?
