How to reset blocking counter?
I guess you could do a “Settings > Data Reset” but if you are a premium subscriber first backup and then restore your custom blockings. So I don’t think this is really what you want but I am not sure there is another way.

still, what is the purpose of this counter? There are several other functions that keeps track as well, e.g. code itself. This counter seems ambiguous to me.

I think it is just a bit of a “gamification” number to help you feel good about how much was blocked (or alternately feel back for how bad some apps / sites are at flooding with you trackers and ads).
