2026-02-22 edit from @rik: removing link to old LineageOS for microG server download location for iodéOS builds as it is causing issues users when finding this old, inactive link. The new download location is https://iode.lineage.microg.org/ It was changed in January 2026 to enable OTA updates for the L4M hosted unofficial iodéOS builds.
Future builds for these devices should be available as OTA updates: thanks @rik for making this happen
Unfortunately no new build for billie: the upstream LOS sources have had ‘build-breaking` changes since the Iodé 5 sources were pushed. With luck this device will get a new build when Iodé make their next release
I’m afraid the build has failed, and I’m not sure why. Maybe because of upstream changes since the Iode 6 sources were pushed. I’ll try again when the Iode sources are pushed next time.
Hi @ all, who know much better than I might ever do…
I am running a OnePlus 13 (dodge) on LineageOS 23 (A16) as a daily driver. It’s running fine with no major restrictions, but i would like to switch to IodéOS due to the improved privacy.
A microG-LineageOS is available as well ( dodge ) and I therefore would ask for any advice or estimate or even a build for my OnePlus 13.
The LineageOS for microG build would be a good place to start as there is no iodéOS build (official or unofficial) available for it (yet). I should declare here that
I use LineageOS for microG rather than iodéOS on all my devices, because I don’t need the extra good stuff (network blocking, own brand browser etc.) that iodéOS adds;
I am one of the maintainers of the LineageOS for microG (though I have been involved with iodéOS for a while, and fully support what they are doing).
OK, great (not so great for Iodé, but…) for me. As I have installed microG via F-Droid, I assume I am quite on track. THX!
I will however watch Iodé’s development and reconsider my actual setting if any changes might come
That devcie is officially supported by LineageOS (at version 23.2). So making a an iodé 7 build for he device should be pretty straightforward. (Note I am not volunteering myself: I have enough on my plate just now. But maybe someone else will pick this up and make a build).
Not officially supported by LineageOS, and the unofficial build published on XDA doesn;t seem very stable, and I couldn’t find the sources and vendor blobs, so an iodéOS build for this device is a long way off - sorry!
I also looked at this, it is even worse for the “5G” model, as the not very stable unofficial builds are only for the “wifi only” model. I think it is very likely this “5G” version does not have an unlockable bootloader: @mcljr had separately notified me their tablet is a SM-T738U (that maybe doesn’t even have the same SOC), whereas the “wifi only” model that has a few unofficial ROMs for it is the SM-T733. I found an old tablet and wanted to try it out.:.Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019)
Also not compatible with the installer. Does anyone have any recommendations on a tablet that is compatible with the installer?
I am 0 for 3 at the moment and am becoming frustrated with the process.
Unofficial builds need to be bootloader unlocked and have a fully functional LineageOS port and kernel source, firmware blobs, etc available. But the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2019) doesn’t have those available. I was actually just looking in the last few days too since I have access to one of those.
I may try the GSI build for it when I get some time.
I’d like to sell my Unihertz Titan (UFS) running iodeOS 5.2 (GSI). Am I breaking any rules by listing it on eBay like this? Unfortunately, there’s no maintainer for the device, so I have to manually add the keyboard files to the Android tree myself with every update.
Have you tried running the GSI on the device? (I don’t know much about this device, but a qucik search of XDA Forums indicates that it should be able to run GSIs, and it’s in the list of devuces supported by the iodé GSI
