Quality of mobile phone calls

I’m a very happy user of iodeOS on an OnePlus 9 phone. The only problem I’m having currently is that mobile phone calls have a very bad quality. They are are having gaps and hickups so that it is very hard to understand the other person. However, phone calls with Signal are perfect. I tried various settings (e.g. VoLTE on/off, 5G on/off), but nothing helped.

Does anybody of you ever experience a similar issue?

You need VoLTE enabled to make 4G / 5G calls, so do make sure that is enabled.

You can check the VoLTE registration by using *#*#4636#*#* and then going to “Phone Information > 3 Dots > IMS Status”. If it isn’t enabled, then you are relying on 3G (or 2G if your area has shut down 3G towers already) which will certainly have degraded call quality.
