I own a pixel 6 and considering installing iode due to P6 EOL at the end of 2026. It is also an intended start of lowering the google exposure. Can anyone of you tell me how long the P6 might be supported by iode? TIA
p.s. I would be supporting premium if it extends for min. 3 years
Thanks for the inquiry. A few extra notes to add to @Tobias18 very good reply:
So far iodé has not stopped supporting any devices, meaning that we continue to create regular updates for devices that even LineageOS may stop building for. Do note that the “Android major version” will be dependent on the most recent LineageOS “major version” available.
So the Pixel 3, for example, still receives regular updates, but they are iodéOS 6.x updatesseries (Android 15 / LineageOS 22.x based).
Also, do note that an iodé premium subscription is good for 2 mobile devices at a time, and can “go with you” when you change devices.
Thanks @Tobias18 and thanks @rik for your replies. Very much appreciated.
I have installed iodé on a P4a which isn’t 4g capable for trialing. Following that I added a profile for my G***** work related account. Banking works on that profile so I will try the banking on the ‘native’ profile as well. Other app install trialing to follow on both profiles. So far I like the OS and very likely to install on the P6 soon and, before P6 EOL October 26.
