Hello, I have a problem with the Pixel camera app. After updating from IodeOS 5 to 6 on my Pixel 6a, the official Pixel camera app from Google no longer works. When you start the app, a black window opens for a second and then closes again immediately.
a good first thing to try is deleting app cache and data:
settings > apps > camera > storage > clear cache
settings > apps > camera > storage > clear storage
Unfortunately, resetting the settings did not work.
Hello.
Can you please let me know how did you install this app? I want to install an unofficial iode on one of my phones (Pixel 3XL) and the camera app/image quality is actually the only negative of custom ROMS for me. Your solution/situation might differ but at least I’d have a starting point.
Thank you!
I do have iodé 5.9 / (Android 14 base) and an iodé 6.0/6.1 (Android 15 base) builds available. So if you are willing to try both, you could confirm if the change to the Android 15 base breaks the ability to use Pixel Camera.
I installed the app via the Auroa Store. Alternatively, you could also sideload the app. If that doesn’t work, you can also try this: Recommended Stable Google Camera Port Versions
