Pixel 8a talk/text/data not working

Network functions will work briefly, then stop working. Only temporary fix seems to be turning phone off for 15 minutes, but once back on the problem happens again soon after.

Additional Information:

Having an issue with the network (Spusu/EE) on my Pixel 8a. It will briefly work after turning off the phone for 15 minutes. Issue started with 7.7 but still have the same problem updating to 7.8 and 7.9.

When turning on the phone after a period of around 15 minutes or more talk and text will work and data will sometimes work. After maybe 5 minutes the data will stop working, and after maybe 15 minutes the talk and text will stop working. At this point the phone will show as ‘emergency calls only’

Things I have tried:
Had the network operator do a reset on their side
Confirmed APN settings
Deleted and added new APN settings
Reset Network settings
Updated phone
Different SIM cards (same issue with O2 and Lebara)
SIM in different phone (works fine on anaother phone)

Any ideas? There seems to be a couple of other data related issues going on with Pixels I can see in recent threads but not sure if they are the same problem.

Have you contacted the carrier? Please check the below guide to confirm that IMS and VoLTE report as available (or not) and if they are, then you may need to check your carrier. If they aren’t available, then it may be an APN issue still even though you confirmed the settings.

Yeah contacted the carrier (spusu) and the did a reset on their side even though eveything seemed fine on the network side.

I will go through that post when I get the chance over the weekend and report back.

You mean with the settings, or something underlying?

You mean with the settings, or something underlying?

I mean with a gap between their official / published documentation and their actually “in use” configuration settings. This is why it is helpful if you can reference a working phone’s APN settings to verify all the details.
