N26 not working anymore

Hi,
I used to have N26 app with Iode since the beginning. Everything was working fine since I changed my e-mail in the app.
I had to reinstall the app and connect with my new e-mail. I type my credentials, and the app want to take a selfie for more security. But the app crash every time, and logoff immediately. It seems that IodeOS is blocking something. I can’t use this app.
I remove Iode protection but same result.
I have tried with an old phone without IodeOS, and it works at the first time.
What can I do ?

I think that the new google security policy is the problem.

I have reinstalled FairphoneOS, and my banking apps works like a charm.

So, until it is solved, I have no choice.

Linking to the Update Announcement thread reply I gave. Unfortunately, it seems that with an Android 15 base that Plexus reports aren’t good for N26 compatibility.

Thanks for all the explanations!
So, I’ll sadly have to stick with FairphoneOS until there’s perhaps better compatibility with Android 16.
In any case, thanks for introducing me to the PLEXUS app and website.

It certainly isn’t definitive, but is a good check if something isn’t working. Probably this would need more testing, it is possible that maybe an older version of the N26 app is usable, or possible that a newer update to the app will restore functionality to “non Google Play” devices.

This happened with the Capital One banking app, for example. Around an August update it started “instant crashing” when attempting to launch (after working for a long time up to that point). Then another Capital One update and it all works again (and continues to work).

For Capital One at least, I could use the website to do everything so I made a webapp with the browser that worked fine, but I know that isn’t true for all banks.
