I understand that this is a hardware issue not a software one so it’s not really directly related to iodeOS. I just want to ask here if anyone elses BraX3 does this. I assume it’s not a defect specifically in mine rather the touchscreen is just poorly grounded. If I plug in a charger or a 3 pin headphone jack the touchscreen gets wonky. Every 10-20 seconds it loses track of my finger and then registers a tap when it registers again. This is especially apparent in apps like Spotify. Otherwise on battery with no headphones plugged in or with a four pin headphone jack plugged in it works perfectly fine. I’m assuming this because the grounding is left floating when you plug one of these in and the touchscreen controller loses track of where your finger is on the capacitive touchscreen. That’s usually what it is on other phones that have this issue. Anyway it’s a minor issue overall. I actually really like the phone otherwise. Just wanted to know if I had a defective unit or if it’s just a design flaw.
Yes, I have it too, but only with the headphone jack. It seems to depend a lot on the environment, and how much rubbish EM radiation is being picked up on the headphones wires. Out on my bike in the countryside there’s no problem.
Note that the headphones wires are the antenna for the FM Radio, so they have to allow 88 - 108 Mhz into the phone. How much else they let in is anybody’s guess
Well, I think it’s because when you plug in a 3 pin jack it bridges the mic and ground pins together. Which can make the ground change if it’s not properly shielded. Which is why it works fine with a four pin jack because those don’t get bridged. And apparently the charging one depends on how noisy your charger is. Which is a ground shielding issue.
Good to know it’s not just mine though.
