LOS System Profile Switcher menu is dismissed after unlocking phone when invoked from notifications tile

Hey everyone

Been using Iodé for about a year now on a Sony Experia 1 V and I’m quite satisfied with it. I’m currently running Iodé 7.6, but ever since updating to 7.4 I’ve started experiencing a small annoyance.

I often use the System Profiles feature from LineageOS the one under Settings > System > System Profiles, and I typically switch them from the provided system tile when you pull down the notifications area.

Before 7.4, when the phone was locked I’d wake it up, pull down the bar, press the System Profiles tile, and a menu to switch profiles is presented showing available profiles to switch to. Since the phone is locked, and you have to unlock before you are allowed to switch profiles, the unlock prompt would come up asking you to use either the fingerprint reader or the pin. Once unlocked, the notifications bar remains down, and the menu remains visible so you can carry on switching the profile.

After updating to 7.4, same situation when the phone is locked I wake it up, pull down the bar, press the System Profiles tile, the unlock prompt comes up as before, but now after unlocking, the notifications bar no longer remains down, and the menu is apparently dismissed. You then have to manually pull the bar down again, and profile switcher is then revealed, as if it was waiting for you there, so you can carry on switching the profile.

Text descriptions are hard to follow, so here’s a short annotated video showing what I mean.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is this a known issue?
I suspect this more likely to be a LineageOS issue than a Iodé specific one. Should this be reported somewhere?

creating a LineageOS issue report won’t be accepted unless you would flash stock LineageOS, confirm the same bug, and then report on it. But you could look at their issue tracker or reddit or broad internet search and see if others with LineageOS have discussed or reported that issue.
