So. Yeh. Location is on. but not one of the apps can find location. not weather or map… nothing.
I’ve tried to find help from online, but nothing. I admit I’m not best of searching since English ain’t my first languake and I have dyslexia.
But … it would be nice to get locations working for apps. I can’t be only one with this issue?
I’ve been doing some ROM hopping and the same problem is with calyxos and lineage for sure… can’t remember did it work with E/os (but skyshowtime didn’t work there and at that moment it was enough to continue hopping).
I’m noobie with android so… please, if you need to know something… tell me what and how
But I’ll stick with iodé for a moment… hoping to find a fix.
My FP4 location works correctly with my apps. Mine was a Murena FP4 which came with e/os, before i flashed it.
Just go into settings and make sure location is enabled and in the apps, check the location permissions.
done all that. no help… I’m thinking it’s something simple, but I have no idea what. I don’t have enough knowhow to know where to start looking at.
With stock OS installed you can enter the service mode by typing
*#*#2886#*#*
in the phone app.
But with stock os everything works fine. So kind dont get the meaning? Could you elaporate so I can follow?
I mentioned the service mode to be sure, that no hardware problem are involved.
My FP4 is running with /e/OS 2.7 and everything works fine.
Indeed. So everything works perfect on stock rom.
It looks like somehow something prevents magic earth, weather app etc to get connected to gps/location.
What could do that… I’ve given all the permissions from the normal way!
So I really have to go back to stock rom. Because location is quite important for my needs.
Just now phone flashed like 0,4sec permission asking pop-up but I didn’t have time to see what.
So… Yeah. There’s something wrong here
Suddenly… Everything works.
MY Fairphone 4 Location work OK
