Hello everybody, unfortunately more and more banks are discontinuing their own wallet apps in favour of Google wallet. This makes it difficult to completely degoogle your phone, if you still want to be able to pay by NFC in a local store.
Any recommendations from your side regarding a NFC-capable wallet app I could link my current credit card to? I don’t want to switch banks, because I am afraid the next institute I choose will also abandon their app in favour of Google wallet soon.

I’d also love to know if there’s any option to use NFC payment without google wallet!

My attitude toward such monopolistic practices is just not to use them if there are no OSS alternatives due to the lack of interest shown by the operators of such devices. If they can’t be bothered to offer an OSS alternative I see no reason for me to use their service. If everyone did same Schmoogle would not be able to wield the power they have over the markets and consumer purchasing in general.
We can only hope that the sheep finally come to their senses before Screwgle own everything.
